Fox News anchor John Roberts, 68, revealed he’s hospitalized with a “severe case of malaria.”
Fans noticed his absence from America Reports before he confirmed the diagnosis Tuesday, saying, “I can honestly say I am the only person in the hospital with Malaria.”
How It Happened
Roberts recently vacationed in Indonesia, visiting Sumba Island, a region with high malaria rates.
The CDC calls malaria a “severe, potentially fatal disease” that spreads through mosquito bites.

His Condition
Roberts thanked doctors at Inova Health for their “expertise and compassion.”
He didn’t share a return date but acknowledged the seriousness:
“One of my doctors said I’m the first case he has ever seen.”
