“A coward took my son”: Father of Minneapolis shooting

Innocent Lives Remembered

Two children were killed in the Minneapolis school shooting outside Annunciation Catholic Church.

Authorities confirmed 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel and 10-year-old Harper Moyski were among the victims.

“Please Remember Fletcher”

Fletcher’s father, Jesse Merkel, delivered an emotional tribute:

“Yesterday, a coward decided to take our eight-year-old son Fletcher away from us.

Please remember Fletcher for the person he was and not the act that ended his life.”

He described his son as “bright, joyful, and deeply loved.”

Harper Moyski’s Family Speaks

Harper’s family called her “a vibrant, loving 10-year-old who lit up every room.”

In a statement, they said, “Our hearts are broken not only as parents, but also for Harper’s sister…

No family should ever have to endure this kind of pain.”

They urged leaders to act: “Change is possible, and it is necessary.”

The Attack

Eighteen others were wounded, including 15 children.

The suspect, Robin Westman, died by suicide. Over 100 rifle rounds were recovered at the scene.
