Tragic: Fox News Contributor Dies Following

Dr. Kelly Powers Dies at 45 After Battle With Brain Cancer

Dr. Kelly Powers, a Fox News medical contributor and surgeon,

died Sunday in New Jersey at 45 after fighting glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.

Born in Yonkers in 1979, Powers earned multiple degrees and completed residencies at Georgetown and Boston University.

She appeared on Fox News, CNN, and CBS, gaining recognition for her “expertise and empathy.”

Her illness began in 2020 when she collapsed during a live TV segment—an event she later called “unreal.”

After three brain surgeries and intensive treatment,

she gave birth to her son, Bennett, proudly calling herself “the luckiest unlucky girl.”

When her cancer returned in 2024, supporters raised nearly $100,000 for her care.

“She was a brave and beautiful soul,” her obituary said.

Powers is survived by her husband, Steven Doll, and their son.

Services will be held this week in Red Bank, New Jersey.
