Arturo Gatti Jr., Son of Boxing Legend, Dies at 17
The boxing world is mourning the death of Arturo Gatti Jr., the 17-year-old son of
late champion Arturo “Thunder” Gatti.
He was found dead in an apartment in Mexico City, where he lived with his mother, Amanda Rodrigues. Authorities have not yet released a cause of death.

The World Boxing Association confirmed his passing, writing, “His journey was just beginning, yet his spirit will live on…
now he is reunited with his legendary father among the stars.” Boxer Jean Pascal added,
“Sixteen years after losing his father, the world loses another Gatti… both gone too soon.”
A Legacy Interrupted
Gatti Jr. had been training to follow in his father’s footsteps, preparing for his professional debut.
His coach, Moe Latif, confirmed the news: “It is unfortunately not a rumor or a joke. Arturo is gone.”
