Schiff Could Face Fines, Prison Time if

Whistleblower Allegations Target Sen. Adam Schiff

New Claims Surface

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) faces new scrutiny after a whistleblower alleged he leaked classified intelligence during

the Trump–Russia investigation, according to declassified FBI interview reports.

Inside the Intelligence Committee

The whistleblower, a former Democratic staffer,

claims Schiff authorized leaks “to damage then-President Donald Trump politically.”

They say internal objections were ignored, and they were dismissed after contacting the FBI.

FBI Response Questioned

The individual alleges reporting the conduct to the FBI multiple times from 2017 to 2023,

but “no formal investigation or disciplinary action followed,” prompting criticism of the bureau’s handling.

Potential Legal Fallout

Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman warned that if proven,

“penalties for leaking classified material can include substantial fines and possible prison time.”

Schiff has not yet commented, but previously called similar claims “politically motivated.”
