Couple with dwarfism have children

Facing Questions and Challenges

Charli Worgan and her husband Cullen, both living with different forms of dwarfism,

often faced public curiosity—not just about when they would have children, but why.

After welcoming their first daughter, Charli started a social media account to educate people

about their family life, which now has over 300,000 followers.

Pregnancy Risks and Heartache

With each pregnancy, Charli endured painful genetic testing.

She revealed, “However when most at 12 weeks are celebrating the joy of being able to announce pregnancy,

I was lining up for Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS…to test the genetic makeup of my baby).”

Their children could inherit either parent’s dwarfism, be average height, or, in rare cases, inherit both, which would be fatal.

Waiting for Answers

Charli shared, “If I can bring this little one into the world…or if his or her journey finishes here.”

She also addressed criticism:

“Bringing a child into this world with my odds is no simple decision and it’s all about being kind.”

A Thriving Family

Now parents to three healthy children, Charli celebrates motherhood:

“There’s no ‘correct’ way to do motherhood, but I’m sure as anything there’s no ‘wrong’ way either.”
