Non-Profit’s Plot To Instruct Non-Citizens

Nonprofit Caught in Alleged Illegal Voting Scandal

A New York City nonprofit, La Jornada, is under fire after being filmed allegedly advising a noncitizen on how to vote illegally in the mayoral election.

In footage released by O’Keefe Media Group (OMG),

director Pedro Rodriguez tells an undercover journalist posing as an unregistered immigrant to vote for

the guy that starts with ‘M.’” Voting as a noncitizen is illegal, though verification systems remain weak.

When confronted, Rodriguez denied encouraging the act despite the recording.

The candidate in question, Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) member,

defeated Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa to become mayor.

During the campaign, the NYC DSA reportedly helped Mamdani appear moderate while maintaining its socialist agenda.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, La Jornada is prohibited from political activity.

The footage sparked concern over election securitynonprofit integrity,

and the growing influence of activist groups on New York City politics.
