Trump urges Republicans to end Obamacare
Trump Pushes to End Obamacare Amid Record Shutdown
As the federal shutdown entered its 38th day,
President Donald Trump urged Senate Republicans to scrap Obamacare and
redirect federal health funds “directly to the people.”

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Hundreds of Billions
of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies…

BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN,
MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE.”

He added, “Take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people.”
The comments came as Senate negotiations stalled.

Democrats refused to back a House bill to reopen the government without addressing rising Obamacare subsidies,
while Republicans rejected Sen. Chuck Schumer’s plan to extend them temporarily.

Amid the impasse, Trump also demanded to “terminate the Filibuster!”
as the shutdown — now the longest in U.S. history —
caused growing disruptions in air travel and food assistance programs.
