Missing man found after being dragged
Man Survives Gorilla Attack at Wildlife Sanctuary
A 34-year-old man’s hike turned terrifying when he was “attacked and dragged by a gorilla”
after getting too close to its enclosure at a wildlife sanctuary.
Witnesses said the animal became agitated and pulled the man several meters before staff managed to intervene.
Emergency responders rushed him to the hospital with “deep bruises and lacerations.”
Officials said his survival was a miracle made possible by the quick action of
sanctuary personnel who distracted the gorilla and pulled him to safety.
Investigators believe the man ignored safety rules and barriers, putting himself and the animal in danger.
Sanctuary officials stressed that such incident ,
though rare, highlight the need to “respect wildlife and maintain safe distances.”
The man is recovering, and the attack has sparked calls for stricter
safety enforcement and greater awareness of the risks involved in approaching wild animals.
