Donald Trump insists “I never tell a lie”

Trump Makes Rare NFL Appearance, Sparks Buzz at Commanders Game

President Donald Trump made headlines Sunday when he attended the Detroit Lions vs.

Washington Commanders game in D.C.—the first sitting U.S. president to attend a regular-season NFL game in nearly 50 years.

Arriving late, he was greeted with both cheers and boos while joining House Speaker Mike Johnson and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a suite.

During the third quarter, Trump joined the FOX Sports booth, joking about his football days.

When asked about his stats, he admitted,

“I’m not sure I had any. It was a long time ago…

At least you realize that I never tell a lie, right?” The moment quickly went viral online.

Trump mixed sports and politics during the brief interview,

commenting on plays and saying, “You can never quit. You can never give up.”

He also received a personalized Commanders jersey,

following reports he wants the team’s future stadium named after him.
