An athlete at the Winter Olympics was sent

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo have delivered dramatic competition in skiing, skating, hockey,

and snowboarding. Norway leads the medal table, while host Italy and United Kingdom have celebrated strong performances.

Controversy emerged during a men’s hockey game between France and Canada. Reports say Pierre Crinon clashed with Tom Wilson in a heated altercation.

Officials removed both players, as fighting and “unsportsmanlike conduct are prohibited under Olympic standards.”

After review, the Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace announced Crinon would be sent home for violating conduct rules,

stressing that athletes must uphold “discipline, integrity, and respect.”

The incident has sparked debate about balancing hockey’s physical intensity with Olympic ideals of unity and fair play, reminding competitors they represent more than just the final score.
