Breaking News: Fatal accident, leaving 19 people dead
Highway Crash Causes Major Delays in State of Mexico
On Wednesday, November 20, a trailer truck lost control on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway near Huehuetoca, crashing into five cars and a pickup truck. The trailer “failed to stop in time,” blocking all three northbound lanes and causing partial closure at kilometer 59.
The truck, heading to Mexico City, first hit a bank before the multi-vehicle collision. Wet roads from rain may have contributed to the accident, though authorities are still investigating.
Paramedics treated several people for minor injuries. “Some were advised to visit a hospital for further examination.”
In a separate incident the same day, a fuel spill from a tanker at kilometer 95.5 near Soyaniquilpan de Juárez caused a full closure of the highway in that area.
Drivers are urged to “exercise caution, especially under adverse weather conditions” and maintain safe distances on wet roads.
