Kat Timpf confirms Gutfeld! break for more
Kat Timpf Faces Cancer and Criticism with Humor
Fox News’ Kat Timpf is confronting breast cancer—and online trolls—with honesty and humor.
On the June 25 episode of Gutfeld!, the 36-year-old announced she’d be stepping away for more surgery. “The best case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again,” she said. “That’s where I am, just to prevent the internet from speculating about my location.”
A Life-Changing Diagnosis
Shortly after giving birth in February, Timpf revealed her cancer diagnosis.
“I’m fortunate to be my son’s mother; we were fortunate to discover the cancer so early,” she posted on Instagram. She underwent a double mastectomy in March after a Stage 0 diagnosis and returned to TV two months later, declaring herself cancer-free. However, recovery continues.
Pushing Back Against Online Hate
Timpf’s journey hasn’t been without critics. She’s faced questions about her diagnosis and parenting.
“I swear I know more about my case than people online,” she said. When criticized for attending Coachella, she joked, “I’m beginning to believe that being a dad is the only way to be a parent and avoid backlash.” In April, she even addressed a false death rumor: “Dude, a lot of phony accounts are posting things about me, including this one that claims I passed away.”
