Sharon Osbourne’s Tearful Peace Sign Tribute
Fans Mourn Ozzy Osbourne at Birmingham Tribute
Fans gathered in Birmingham on July 30 to honor rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who died at 76. Sharon Osbourne, joined by her children Jack, Kelly, and Aimee, placed flowers at the Black Sabbath bench alongside hundreds of fan tributes.
A hearse carrying Ozzy’s body passed his childhood home and iconic landmarks, with a purple cross and his name spelled in flowers.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family shared. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
Fans praised Sharon’s peace sign gesture, calling it a fitting tribute: “Ozzy’s gesture has always been the double peace sign.”
Mayor Zafar Iqbal said, “Ozzy was more than a music legend – he was a son of Birmingham.” Ozzy once joked, “I want [my funeral] to be a celebration, not a mope-fest.”
