Seeing your child graduate is a proud moment for any parent. For Dennis Roach of Texas, his daughter Tori’s 2018 high school graduation brought a unique twist — they recreated a photo from his own 2000 graduation.
Back then, Dennis kissed toddler Tori in his arms. Eighteen years later, they posed the same way, with Tori writing “18 years later” when sharing both photos on Twitter. The post went viral with 57,000 reposts and nearly 150,000 likes.
Comments flooded in: “Ugh this is just the sweetest,” one wrote. Others were amazed Dennis “didn’t look like he had aged at all,” with jokes like, “I think you froze your father until you grow up.”
Tori told People, “My dad was really proud… it brought me and my dad closer… we could share that moment, and I feel that not many other people get to experience that.”
