Harvard Scientist Warns of Possible Alien Probe
Harvard scientist Avi Loeb believes the space object 3I/ATLAS, discovered on July 1, might be more than just a comet. “It may come to save us or destroy us,” he warned, suggesting it could be an alien probe with serious implications for humanity.
In a study with researchers Adam Hibberd and Adam Crowl, Loeb said 3I/ATLAS’s path offers “various benefits to an extraterrestrial intelligence,” as it nears planets like Jupiter, Mars, and Venus—ideal for planting surveillance “gadgets.”
By late November, the object will move behind the sun, making it invisible from Earth. Loeb noted, “This could be intentional to avoid detailed observations… or when gadgets are sent to Earth from that hidden vantage point.”
Speaking to CNN, he added, “Usually, for comets, you see a tail trailing behind… Here, the glow is actually in front of it. We’ve never seen such a thing.”
