‘INCREDIBLY PAINFUL,’ says Ellen DeG
Ellen DeGeneres recently opened up about a surprising and
debilitating symptom she experienced during her bout with COVID-19:
severe back pain. Despite taking careful precautions,
Ellen contracted the virus in December 2020, and what shocked her most was the intense and unrelenting pain in her back.
This revelation caught many off guard, as back pain is not commonly highlighted among the
primary symptoms of COVID-19. Her candid sharing has brought greater awareness to the broad spectrum of symptoms the virus can produce.
In recounting her experience, Ellen admitted, “What they don’t tell you is that you will have severe back pain.
I had no notion that was a symptom until I spoke with a few other people.”
Her statement highlights how COVID-19 symptoms can vary significantly and may include less recognized effects such as muscle aches,
neurological complications, and intense musculoskeletal pain.
