Democrats Leak Internal Poll Sa
Democrats are struggling to shift blame for the three-week government shutdown onto Republicans — and it’s backfiring.
Polls show the “Schumer Shutdown” hurting them, with their own internal data
revealing voters split nearly evenly on who’s at fault: 45% blame Republicans, 42% blame Democrats. Even worse, that gap is narrowing.
The leaked poll, shared with Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman, highlights what many already suspect:
Americans aren’t buying the Democrats’ narrative. Most people view shutdowns as political theater, not real crises.
“Shutdowns are just noise,” the article notes, adding that everyday life remains largely unaffected.
Even CNN’s Harry Enten pointed out that President Trump’s approval rating
has risen slightly during the standoff — hardly the outcome Democrats expected.
Their effort to paint the GOP as villains has instead exposed growing voter frustration with both parties.
As numbers slide, Democrats’ gamble on the shutdown looks increasingly self-defeating.
