1. Federal Operation Launched in Memphis
President Donald Trump’s move to federalize Memphis is showing early results,
with crime declining after thousands of federal agents were deployed.
A joint task force with the FBI, ATF, DOJ, and National Guard began a citywide crackdown on Sept. 29.
2. Arrests and Seizures
According to reports obtained by The Daily Caller,
officials have made 2,213 arrests, including 139 gang members,
and recovered 379 firearms and 97 missing children.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said, “The numbers clearly show that Memphis is safer thanks to President Trump’s federal surge.”
3. Crime Drops Citywide
City data shows major crime categories have fallen sharply since the operation began, including murders down 52.38%,
robberies down 65.82%, and motor vehicle thefts down 79.79%.
4. Ongoing Support and White House Position
More National Guard members are joining the effort.
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said,
“The President wants to work with anyone… to bring law and order to our streets.”
