Two Young Girls Confirmed Dead in Texas Floods
Lila Bonner, 9, and Eloise Peck, 8, best friends and cabinmates at Camp Mystic in Kerr County, Texas, died during the flash floods on July 4, 2025. Their deaths were confirmed by family on July 6.

Families in Mourning
Peck’s mother shared: “Eloise was literally friends with everyone. She loved spaghetti, but not more than she loved dogs and animals.”

She added, “She had a family who loved her fiercely… especially her Mommy.”

Community Grieves
Alive11 reporter Kaitlyn Ross wrote, “She passed away alongside her best friend and cabinmate, Lila Bonner… Rest in peace, sweet girls. You will never be forgotten.”

Search Efforts Ongoing
OKCM Search and Rescue reported that 11 campers and one counselor were still missing. “Please keep praying. Search operations continue,” they posted, urging the public to stay hopeful.
