Schiff Got Better Than Average Mortgage
Schiff Under DOJ Investigation for Mortgage, Tax Irregularities
Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is under federal investigation for allegedly claiming two homes as primary residences to gain financial benefits, newly released documents show.
He secured 3% mortgage rates on both his Maryland and California properties in 2020 — even lower than the 5.625% rate at the center of the probe.
A Maryland grand jury is reviewing possible charges, including “wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and making false statements.”
Schiff also received a $7,000 property tax break in California and reportedly saved up to $50,000 over 16 years by misrepresenting property status.
“I have always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a scam artist,” former President Trump posted. Schiff responded, “This is just Donald Trump’s latest attempt at political retaliation.”
“Senator Schiff received the rate that each lender deemed appropriate,” his spokesperson stated, dismissing the investigation as politically motivated.
