Family Seeks Prayers for 11-Year-Old Hurt in Helicopter Crash
An 11-year-old boy, Oliver Holland, was left with life-threatening injuries after
a helicopter crashed on Huntington Beach, California, on October 11.
The aircraft reportedly malfunctioned midair before plummeting into the sand, injuring five people.
Tragic Accident
Bystanders rushed to help Oliver, who was pinned beneath the wreckage.
“Oliver was enjoying a day at the beach when suddenly a helicopter malfunctioned and came crashing down on him,”
his sister Madeline wrote on GoFundMe.
He suffered a collapsed lung and brain bleed and remains hospitalized.

Investigation and Recovery
Police said the helicopter was part of the upcoming Cars and Copters event.
The pilot, Eric Nixon, sustained serious but nonfatal injuries.
Family Update
Madeline later shared that Oliver’s condition “seems to be getting better,”
and the fundraiser has collected nearly $113,000 toward his medical care.
